About the Site

Kiriath-Jearim is located in a commanding spot in the Judean highlands, 12 km west of Jerusalem, with views all the way to the Mediterranean Sea to the west and the skyline of Jerusalem to the east. The enchanting, gardened summit of the site houses the monastery of the Ark. The slopes are covered with olive trees. The village of Abu Gosh, with many restaurants is in a walking distance.
